Template Wizard - Getting Started

What is a template?
A template is a border of buttons that sits around the edge of the telephone call or linking screen. Its purpose is to help speed up the input of messages within the call screen and the annotation of linked documents.

How does it work?
The way it works is that you assign each Template button a message, e.g. "line engaged", "not at his/her desk", "not at the office today", etc. By assigning these messages to buttons you are saved from having to type in the message again and again. Just click on the button with the correct message and the message will appear in the annotation or box.

TCM comes with two preset, partially complete Templates for both your Telephone Call screen and your Linking screen. These instructions cover the creation of a new Template and the editing of existing templates.

Starting the Template Wizard
To start the Template Wizard click on the 'Template Wizard' button from the Scan and Link taskbar,

or from the TCM menu bar, choose the Template Wizard option from the 'Wizards' menu. You can also start the 'Template Wizard' from the Telephone Call and Linking screens in TCM
